Headshots Redux

Greetings, Monkeyfriends! As you may have noticed, we’re busy at the moment brushing up on a little show called Headshots and Healing Potions, getting ready to bring that to you again on Friday, October 12th. We’ve wrestled our cast and crew away from their keyboards and D-pads all over again (and it’s not an easy task) so we can bring the show to some of you who may have missed our blockbuster Fringe production this summer.

Or, you know, those of you who couldn’t fit into the Shed. Seriously, it’s gonna be worth it just to see the show in comfort, am I right? Sitting in the back room at the Imp, a pint in your hand, maybe some chicken strips or nachos … even if you did make it out this summer, you may want to catch it again. ;)

We’re also going to be expanding things just a bit from the Fringe version. If nothing else, in performance space – we can fit all three actors on stage simultaneously, maybe even make a cross or two during scenes! And if you only saw the show once at Fringe, you didn’t see every piece they prepared – we had to flip a few every other performance due to time constraints, but on the 12th, no matter which of the two performances you attend, you’ll hear every word the way the playwrights intended. Plus all the extra lines Adam slips in there when he gets antsy. And who knows, if we decide to get really fancy we may bring the lights up and down a few times, even add in a sound effect or two. It’s a wonderful time to be a Monkey.

And I may kid a bit, but the reason we’re bringing the show back is because we loved it. Writing the pieces, rehearsing, performing, seeing how much the audience got into it … it was a hell of a lot of fun bringing you our collection of gamer stories, and we think we’ve got a few more lives left in us. I really do hope you’ll come out and share in the fun.
